Shree Rajrajeshwari Mahalakshmi Mandir

This mandir is based on Meru Laxmi Yantra, was inaugurated in July 1995 when Pranpratistha took place.

Shree Yantra is used to worship Mahalaxmi. Merulaxmi Yantra has been constructed strictly has per shastras and at the top it is Bindu which symbolizes Tripurasundri. The worship of Shree Yantra ensures happiness, peace and prosperity.


The Temple has been built on land of about 4500 sq yards. The structure is RCC and it has marble flooring mostly at all places. The dimensions of the structure are 80’ x 80’ with 131’ in height. Shree Yantra has been constructed in RCC onthe top of temple being Shikhara.
The temple was conceptualized by late Shri Punamchand Shah who was staunch Devotee of Maa Chamunda. He initiated to form Shree Devi Mandal trust in 1974 and his close associates were the initial trustees. The construction started in 1978 and work had some crucial time also. The trust depended on small donations to have larger base of devotees. Flow of donations used to be uneven, which at times hampered the pace of construction. It was completed in 1995.




The temple has main idols of Shree Mahalaxmi, Shree Mahakali and Shree MahaSaraswati seated on the 108 lotus petals in concrete. They are goddesses of Wealth, Might
and Intellect, which every human being needs.

Meru Laxmi Mandir is Managed by Shree Devi Mandal, a public charitable trust registered under registration no E-1500 The Trustees are from respected families of Surat. They are:

Donate
The temple is committed to the well-being of people at large and of Surat in particular. It is a major center for spiritual upliftment of the people. It has plans to expand its welfare activities in coming times. Repairs/Renovation work is going on at present. Devotees are requested to donate generously for the same.
Note: Donations to the trust are exempted under Section 80G (5) of Income Tax Act 1961, subject to the limit prescribed there in valid up to 31 March 2025.
